India's Clique Solar wins award at Intersolar Europe 2013

Indian firm Clique Solar has been awarded the Intersolar Europe Award 2013 for their patent technology ARUN, in the solar thermal technologies category at solar industry exhibition in Munich.
"Performance has been our key focus area and ARUN is delivering on this count," Clique Solar''s Managing Director Ashok Paranjape said in a statement.

Arun is a parablic dish technology that uses the Fresnel concept to concentrate sunlught in the focal point where re receiver is placed. The Clique Solar's system is used to heat water or other heat transfer fluid and can be applied in industrial processes where heat from steam or hot oil is used to make processes, such as food or automotive industry.

A total of 101 companies from 19 countries were competed for the Intersolar AWARD. By mid-May 2013, a total of 26 companies were nominated for the solar prize in the categories of Photovoltaics, Solar Thermal Technologies and Solar Projects in Europe, it added.

"ARUN is India''s only patented and commercially proven technology in the domain of Concentrated Solar Thermal," the statement said.
