India's MNRE to train workers for operation, maintenace and troubleshooting of CSP systems

India's Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has launched a request for proposals for "development of skilled manpower for operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of concentrated solar technology based systems for various applications".

The RFP builds on the boost of Concentrated Solar Technologies to be deployed along the country and the implementation of the UNDP-GEF supported program "Market Development & Promotion of Solar Concentrator based Process Heat Application in India".

Tasks to be conducted by bidding winner will include creating training manuals and organize 12 training programs for students, practicing workers and maintenance personnel.

Manuals will include different technologies such as Scheffler dishes, parabolic trough, paraboloid dish, Arun dish, linear Fresnel reflector and non-imaging solar concentrators.

Training programs will be carried on at seval states as Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Aandhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat or Rajasthan among others.

Submission deadline is March 4, 2013.
