CSP 2012, a review

2012 has been a turbulent year for CSP, new markets have emerged, others have failed to take off and some have virtually “died”, big companies have withdrawn and new start-ups have been created. But, after all, CSP goes ahead and it seems it will for a long time.
The US could not install a MW of CSP, but the main projects go ahead and during 2013 most of them will come online.
After late 2011 elections, Spain’s government was assumed by Popular Party, more keen on keep the nuclear plants operational than in renewable energy. After new regulation changes, the whole renewable energy sector has been set to stand-by for a long time.
