The project is under review by the California Energy Commission.
It was expected to receive the final permits by June 2013, but CEC staff requested for a 6 months extension to release a Final Staff Assessment, this delay made BrightSource to file an application to suspend the process as it could not meet the timing of the PPA signed with Southern California Edison.
On January 2013, BrightSource requested for a 12 months suspension of the review process.
On July 2013, BrightSource filed a request to withdrawn the project.
