This project is included in the $750 million approved by the Clean Technology Fund (CTF) on December 2, 2009 to accelerate global deployment of CSP. The investments were set to be carried out in the MENA region: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia. (See document attached)

The complete plant has an ouput of 450 MW (combined cycle) + 20 MW (solar field)

The expected anual generation is around 3,538 GWh

The plant was inaugurated on May 12, 2010 by H.M. Mohamed VI King of Morocco.
