This plant has been built iby two companies.

For the first time, it was Ausra (then bought by Areva Solar) the developer of the first solar field, completed by 2004 with about 1 MWe and subsequently increased up to 9 MWth by 2008.

In December 2010, Macquarie Generation announced Novatec Solar had been awarded the contract to expand the facility with another 9 MWth. This second phase was completed by October 2012
