• The project will be developed by Vimentina Limited (a part of Alfa Mediterranean Enterprises Ltd), on a total land area of 1.5 million square metres, in the area of Alassa, Limassol
• The project will be comprised of the following:
  1. 425 modules;
  2. A power station, containing two steam turbine generators;
  3. A switch sub-station which will transmit energy from the power station to the National electricity grid system;
  4. A series of steam condensers.
• Once the power station is constructed, the project will be able to produce power for each module as it is completed and brought on-line
• A Contract is due to be signed with the Government of the Republic of Cyprus, under which the Government with acquire the total power production of the project for 20 years, at a subsidized, premium tariff of 26 Eurocents per kilowatt hour (kWh)
• The project has already secured all required licenses and a confirmation from the Energy Service of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Cyprus (MCIT) that the project has satisfied the evaluation criteria and that MCIT are ready to sign the contract mentioned above on behalf of the Renewable Energy Sources (RES) Fund of Cyprus
• Ground works on site for the power station and the solar module terraces are already under way at March 2012
