The plant was initially promoted Arenales Solar PS, owned 50% by Fotowatio Renewable Ventures and Ibereolica.
In April 2011, the project was sold to Solar Millenium and OHL, each one acquired the 50% of shares.
In August 2011, RREEF entered in the share holder, RREEF (49%), Solar Millenium (26%) and OHL (25%).
In July 2012, STEAG bought Solar Millenium shares after it came bankrupt.
